i believe in reincarnation but i don't believe that you remember it, at all.

either that or i'd like to believe it's some sort of set up like 'elsewhere' by gabrielle zevin, where you go to a place and age backwards until you are reborn. But that's just a cool idea, rather than actually something that might happen!!

ye but imagine u were born then 20 minutes later you die, imagine ageing backwards for 20 minutes forever or like the theory where you live your life on and on after you die. that would ******* suck.

- dont believe in reincarnation nor do i want to be reincarnated into this life. maybe if i went back in time hm....
- don't believe in spirits and angels bc imagine being dead 5000 years and still having to roam about the world omfg think id try to kill myself
- don't believe in heaven and hell even with heaven id ******* hate having to be 'alive' in someone sense and watch the world go on for a billion more years that sounds like HELL

The idea of reincarnation is a comforting thing to some people but the implications and unanswered questions are horrifying to me. Am I me or am I merely the echo of past lives I have no recollection of? How much of my personality traits is new and unique to me? If it's supposed to be a clean state then that isn't really reincarnation because then it's not you who's been reborn so you have effectively died when that is erased. If that makes sense lol.

Believing in a life after death means you have to believe in a universe that cares about your existance and then has adjusted to create a system where that is possible but it doesn't care. The universe would still be here if humanity wasn't. We just have the privilege of seeing it.

yeah but when you reach 0 you get reborn at the end of the book, it's not forever... i'd hate to live on after i die though, would be bored out of my skull!!

i don't believe in either of the other things really but i do believe in some form of 'soul', a higher intelligence or form of life which is the bit that gets passed on between 'lives' or different bodies

I know what you mean, I'm happy to be me and only me. I don't want to be a soul going through bodies etc, i only want this one life and that's all I believe there is. Not sure what happened because ask me 5 years ago and I'd be all YES SPIRITS SOULS HEAVEN HELL AFTERLIFE.... maybe because before i didnt question where these theories and thoughts came from and accepted them as it is. I hope i havent been reincarnated and forgot all my previous lives, I'm happy with this one life and making the best use of it. but who knows...
