I get that some people prefer physical though, my parents do for cds for example.
Not really though. I could go into HMV and buy a complete series of something, lets say Doctor who and be back in half and hour and start watching it.

If I tried to download it or stream it, it would take far longer, especially considering the internet around my area isn't that great. While fibre optics is being rolled out all over the UK a lot of places don't have it yet and even when some cities do get it, it only goes to certain areas.

I've bought some music digitally before, but only when I can't get it physically. At the end of the day, while apple is probably safe, at least I know if anything happened to these companies my media would be okay as I'd always have a physical copy.

HMV is my life. I absolutely love actually buying DVDs and occasionally CDs (I'll usually buy these off iTunes) but with DVDs I just love having them for myself. I don't enjoy watching movies on my laptop as it doesn't seem as good and stuff. I'm glad to hear they'll be changing their techniques and methods in selling. Also real glad the HMVs near me weren't closed whilst closures were happening, I can't cope without HMV. It allows me to discover new films as well as get the ones I wanted.

Your interest must be appalling. I can get about 700kbps when downloading movies - so a 500mb movie takes very little time really - certainly not faster than driving to town, going to a shop, driving home.

I gather you meant internet? Sorry got confused ha.

And yeah a 500mb but that's basic right. If I was going to buy a film I'd want the best quality and probably extras, special features etc. I get 2-3mb a second if I'm lucky here, sadly nothing I can do about that at the moment - infinity apparently coming soon but the dates keep changing. But I still prefer physical any ways.
