Well of course, but what I'm saying is that it's extremely easy to get around the 'size 7 in signatures' rule, and questioning whether there should be limits on it.
Say in theory, someone (such as @Kardan; at the moment) uses an image of a large font saying HI! in their signature, you wouldn't punish them
but if I, in theory, was to write HI! in the same size font but using actual text, I'd be punished as it's over size 7?
Do you get what I mean?
Yes I get exactly what you meanWell of course, but what I'm saying is that it's extremely easy to get around the 'size 7 in signatures' rule, and questioning whether there should be limits on it.

Do you get what I mean? The difference is, we can't measure text to find out whether fits in a 700px x 300px box, whereas we can with an image that uses that font size. Does that make sense? Im tired.

I don't think it's really an issue. It should be fairly obvious if there's too much text.
Chippiewill.
Yeah but it's quite a grey area, easy for some people to get around and quite confusing for members who try to use big fonts then get confused when they're punished because they might be like WELL KARDAN USES IT WHY CAN'T I?
Part of me wants to say, implement a pixel height text rule but that's quite hard... instead of size 7 could it possibly be changed to a "non-offensive size" no matter whether it's an image or actual text text?
Which basically would mean than if there was a lot of text, then the sizing could be reduced, less text, increased? Could also add a 'at the forum manager's discretion' clause?
(there's a better phrasing there but migraine means I can't think of it)
If we want to be exact about signature sizes (Which we do because I like being difficult) then this rule has to stay.
It's not possible to use size 7 anymore so no one can be punished for using it.Yeah but it's quite a grey area, easy for some people to get around and quite confusing for members who try to use big fonts then get confused when they're punished because they might be like WELL KARDAN USES IT WHY CAN'T I?
