slim ties.
Actually depends on the event. Sometimes I enjoy a bowtie but I can't tie them myself.

I prefer to wear ties just cos they're more acceptable in most situations, cravats should be worn just for weddings IMO.

ties are nicer. bowties and cravats are what hipsters wear nowadays ruining their coolness
