Harris stopped by EW Radio and talked about his love of variety shows, freak shows, and therefore, the upcoming American Horror Story: Freak Show. Harris confesses that he actually wrote Ryan Murphy a letter asking to be on the new show, but Murphy hasn’t responded... until now.

Emma Roberts as Lily Morgan, a young woman whose flexibility lands her a job at the freak show.
Frances Conroy as Matilda Hapschatt, a performer in the freak show.
Jamie Brewer as Katie, a girl who frequents the freak show that Elsa Mars runs.
Angela Bassett as Donna Macree, Chiklis' character's wife and a performer in the freak show.
Gabourey Sidibe as Patricia, Donna's daughter and Billy's step-daughter, as well as Jimmy's step-sister who used to perform in the freak show.
Michael Chiklis as Billy Macree, Jimmy's father, Ethel's ex-husband, and Bassett's character's husband. His character is the strongman of the freak show.

Some things to take note of:

-No other cast members who we know for a fact are confirmed are listed execpt Jessica Lange , Kathy Bates , Sarah Paulson , and Evan Peters .

-The numbering on the left hand side of this list skips several numbers.

-Bette and Dot's last name is Tattler.

-Ann McKenzie's is cast as a character who also has the last name Tattler.

-Erika Erwin is a transgender woman who is the tallest supermodel in the world.

-John Carrol Lynch is cast as a character called "Twisted Clown." This could be a renamed version of "The Clown Killer" character that was confirmed a few months ago.

-Mat Fraiser is a performer with a condition called phocomelia in both his arms.

-Rose Siggins is cast as a character called "Legless Suzi" and does in fact have no legs.

-According to IMDB, Naomi Grossman and Christopher Neiman are cast in Freak Show. Both of which are also on this list (however, IMDB is not always the most reliable source).

-Naomi Grossman is cast as Pepper, a character that also appeared in Asylum.

-Ben Woolf (Meep) played The Infantata in Murder House.

-Grace Gummer played Millie, a witch from the 1919 flashback that helped lead the murder of The Axeman.

-Ramona Tyler (Mildred Bachman) played the mother of Jacques, the young man at Madame Delphine LaLaurie 's Halloween Ball, in Coven.

Kathy Bates and Evan Peters will be playing Ethel and Jimmy Darling. Joining them will be Angela Bassett’s Desiree Dupree, Michael Chiklis as Dell Toledo, Sarah Paulson in the dual role of conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler, and Emma Roberts as Maggie (no last name as of yet). Finally, series staple Jessica Lange will be playing a character is named Elsa Mars. Chiklis is playing Bates’ husband…and Bassett’s ex-husband.

In other exciting news, one of this year’s core villains will be played by John Carroll Lynch, the great everyguy-psychopath character actor. One of Lynch’s best-known performances came as the possible serial killer Arthur Leigh Allen in Zodiac; appropriately, executive producer Tim Minear described the tone of Freak Show as “Douglas Sirk meets Zodiac.”
