Buying this was a very bad choice.

People assumed that it would do well because it was sold for the same price and quantity that the Pink Dragon was. They are looking at how successful the dragon was and think this egg will be the same way, but they are totally wrong. The pink dragon did so well because it was a much-demanded recolour of the most popular rare in the hotel. There was a huge demand to own one almost immediately after it left the catalogue and prices surged towards the 80gb mark.

This egg will do the opposite for one reason: it is ugly. People never seem to consider that most of the reason rares EVER do well is because there is some sort of appeal to them. There is no appeal to this egg. It is a poorly designed rare that won't be used except for perhaps in an Easter-themed event. At least that's the message I've been hearing loud and clear from the public.

The other reason this egg won't do well is because 4 more of these are slated to be released within the week. That essentially means that there will be 500 eggs exactly like this one to be puchased for 750c a pop. Today alone, 63k credits were sucked out of the economy from LTD sales. This means that if the other LTD eggs sell out at the same price, a total of 375k credits will be removed from the economy. I'm pretty sure that considering how slow the economy's been lately, there won't be enough willing buyers to purchase these rares from people who just got them from the catalogue.

Even today, we're seeing a massive scramble to sell these eggs. People are willing to sell the eggs at very slight profit margins--as little as 50c over the price of the catalogue. This is a sure recipe for disaster as people will soon realize that there are more sellers than buyers. In fact, the only person who has even received an offer on their egg is ,Xbox, the user who owns the #1 egg.

Anyway, I'll be lounging on my sofa as I watch people realize that they've just made a huge mistake. Let the games begin!

I wouldn't use this in an easter room - it'd only fit in with furniture like the Throne/Maj/Throne Sofa/Samovar/Nordic Table, and those kind of items - that's my view anyway . The fact there'll be more colours of these is a good point to keep in mind, definitely. I think what may have pushed some people in to buying one is the chance to get a good number.

at the moment due to casinos being removed, double credits and ecotronable furni it looks like there are enough credits out there to splash out, still surprised it sold out mind.

wonder if they'll keep the price the same or go down the pillow route (4/5x more available for a slightly lower price)

It's because it looks like a Fabergé egg, I do think it's a beautiful piece of furniture! Would totally have bought it..

Having all 5 as a set will be nice, but yeah 750 not for me. It will do well in future tho when people leave / get permed / bulk them.

Yeah, of course, but for those who do, knowing how expensive they are irl, just adds to the value of the furniture in client..
