He's posted the stats, why would he lie about having a level 19 character with 30 mage? There's no point.. Also, having stuff proves nothing, from the way you talk I would say you're a noob.

When he trained his magic he probably used spells which give you HP exp, which raises your combat.

Magic owns combat, it's range that normally beats it.. Unless you're using really high spells.

If you're a pure mage then yes mage affects combat level.
