It shouldn't have been that you got told off for, I only brought that up, but I didn't take it further as it was minor.i lost all motivation to host when i had an agm nagging at the events manager to warn me for letting someone i had just got to sign up the forum play rather than her because i move the barrier and they didn't get in fast enough lol. they wanted me warned for not kicking someone who was brb and instead i moved a barrier. kinda felt disheartened and i felt attacked over someone being petty and caring for themselves rather than the community lol
You should have been informed about the members misbehaving in your event, not for moving a barrier :S.
am not too sure how long til theyll be done now with my hand i cant do more than 1 thing like cos my ther hands in cast for 6 weekjs so obv wont be host without taking 10 mins to type HI WELCOMEIf you don't have time to join the events team then what makes you think that others do? :p currently management and senior/head djs are able to help out by hosting events and the only person that I've noticed that has even bothered doing so is Gina. I will be hosting events during the next week for the World Cup tournament, as will a number of those in the help desk department, and I'm sure others from other departments will host some too.
The current problem not just for events but for all departments is outside advertisement. Hxss is a perfect example as it's something that has always relied on hype generated within the forum and habbox official rooms only. What we need to do is work out a way to get the word out from quite literally outside of the box.
A recruitment fair? What would that involve? Didn't the agency fair in habbo flop? What other advertisement would you suggest? A trial for the events team is very short, is it really something that puts people off so much that a fast track option is needed?
More themed events would be cool. The commonwealth games are coming up in the last week of July. There's the game show thin @Yuxin; has been working on and off for months, there's the World Cup tournament next week. Even if we make thse the best that they can possibly be it doesn't mean that any users attracted will be retained. There's the forum and the help desk as community 'hangouts' that also need a bit of work.
More events can be arranged. The rest needs some proper thought behind it.

i tell them im more than happy 2 host events for them but they just aren't having it that is the reason why
The way I see it, other than what's already been said about lack of hosts, motivation, etc, is that if you go to an event such as HFFM or Th or whatever, 70% of the people there are already staff at them sites or members of their community. At least 10-15 (or more) people fromt he community go there so they instantly get their events on the top rooms, even if most of them aren't even playing.
It'd be ncie to get some people fromt he forum to turn up to events, even if they don't play, as there's only so much a host can do to get new people in from an empty room. But I've looked around recently and noticed that literally nobody reads CNB's for events these days so I don't see that happening anytime soon.
But that's the way I see it anyway.
viba is right
If the events team is really low on staff why not boost their amount of events held a week to 4 as it gains more events through-out the week. I know some people don't have the time, but perhaps sticking it out there and seeing peoples views?
I resigned due to simply not having enough time and the events back then were pretty low. I would see about maybe putting it up another event until you gain some more members. This is just an idea.
I'd say that raising the minimum to 4 Events a week has positive and negative impacts. The positive being more events hosted but the negative would be, is 4 too much? Many people resign as they don't have time to host 3 events, let alone 4. I just think the thought of people having to host 4 Events would be too much as it seems quite a few people already struggle with 3. Could be trialed though to see how it goes.If the events team is really low on staff why not boost their amount of events held a week to 4 as it gains more events through-out the week. The purpose of Community Notice Boards, although they're time consuming and hard to post if you're not familiar with a forum, help management prove you were online to host your event. I know trialists often struggle to post their CNB's to begin with unless they've had previous experience but it really does help if there's a question mark over whether or not the host turned up or not (especially if a Senior + isn't online, it does help significantly). If hosting were to be opened up to any staff who are wanting to host, as they wouldn't fall under the Events Department, they wouldn't have to post a CNB, therefore taking that requirement away.
The option of extending Events is still there however has kinda faded out, mainly to do with lack of staff and lack of people attending events. The part about changing your Event to something different isn't in the Handbook however I reckon it could work. I guess it would be harder for us to check if a host has changed their event or not, unless they posted it somewhere letting us know (although I doubt it really matters). That's a possibility.
no1 wants to host
no1 wants to attend
too bad
