Scott we've chatted before about this and you're certain you'll take the pound. Thing is though, what if it isn't scaremongering? Wheres your plan B if you're denied the pound? What happens if the currency is changed and your notes are made completely invalid?

Dunno why UK would want to have a union, Scotland will just turn into some teenager going off to University to do better things but still begging his parents for money because he can't be truly independent. Just doesn't make sense to do it for us, and Salmond is drunk in thinking that Dave Cameron will allow it, or as if the RUK are just going to stand around and let our currency be used by another country.

Seriously it ain't scaremongering, if the pound pulls out of Scotland it'll not lose value, it'll increase it value because there'll be literally no risk whilst all the scottish based companies will come down to England or Wales & base themselves there, increasing our economy. It's legit gonna go **** up.

I know it was mentioned in another thread, but the Royal Bank of Scotland will also move from Scotland to England. My question is, what do Scotland plan to do to combat all these job losses? (RBS, Trident etc)

Only one way to find out..

At the end of the day the outcome of the poll is going to be majority AGAINST independence and we'll continue our lives as normal. A few months down the line we'll see nothing done about 'devo max' or any other scheme to give Scotland more powers most likely. In the event that I vote I'd be voting No anyway as I've always been against the independence since the start and although I don't feel strongly about being part of the union or British like most English seem to do, I do feel we'd be better off within the UK than taking an unnecessary risk going independent (risk of companies pulling out etc, not risk of us falling flat on our faces).

Although that said we would succeed if we did go independent and makes me interested want to go down that route, as it would be entertaining to see the replies of people who seem to believe it would fail.

Fair point mate, it is interesting to see what will happen and how you guys will actually do, but there is a massive risk in doing so like you've. Still, its Scotlands decision. If it goes No, I'd be pretty disappointed in the politicians saying all these things to try keep you guys in only to find out they were lying. That'd be a real smack.

sometimes u just have to take a risk. there ain't nothing wrong with a little hope. both sides are promising hope for voting their side and danger for voting the opposite side. typical politics obviously. no matter what happens, there will be good and bad imo, so vote where your heart lies.
