How long did it take you to learn how to drive?

In New Zealand the age used to be 15 so I got my leaners drivers licence 3 days after my 15th birthday. I hindsight that was probably too young. You must have your license 6 months before sitting the restricted test and then another year from there for your full.
It took me a long time to build up my confidence and skills. I remember feeling down on myself thinking I would never learn to drive, I was probably very lucky to pass my restricted test. It was from driving around after that point on my own that I really learnt how to drive and build up my confidence.
Just remember there is no rush and you will get the hang of it and more confident

Took me 6 months to get my confidence up to drive without anyone telling me what to do. Don't rush. If you feel yourself getting annoyed, that is not the right head space you should be driving in especially while learning.
