Private/Gender Forums

What about the catfishes who lie about their gender?! I know a few people will be in the wrong one straight away! :rofl:

I'm not really fussed either way really and can see both sides. I can understand how there might be certain things that girls only want to talk about between themselves, and sometimes some of the males on here can be a bit insensitive/threads can derail quite easily! I also see the points about there being too many forums though and it being quite confusing sometimes especially for new members.

am sure catfishes are doing more harm on the forum than sneaking into girl/male only sections, don't think u can full proof it
but it WUD be on a posts/date/vouch basis, post a pic of urself if need be X
its only one forum if u put it right at the bottom specifically saying GENDER FORUMS it's not gonna cause that much confusion tbh

Just to clear it up would it be that you request to join these gender forums? because if you could just request to join then it wouldnt cause problems because those who are against it, simple solution just dont join, those who are join.

could be both? request it then the admin gives them a password. does mean that person can go give it to someone else though who hasn't been proven to be of that gender tho

but ya i mean, if girls want a girl only forum and guys don't, it's not fair for guys to say we shouldn't be allowed it? inequality is when some people don't want something and other people suffer for it x

To those people who are like oh we want less subforums so it's less confusing for new people, you could quite easily make it like the VIP forum so the new people/people who haven't requested to see it have no clue it's there

It could be a sub forum in spam or something then its at the bottom and wouldnt make the actual forums look too clogged up?

sub forums are not a solution to any sort of clogging, they're worse and often times ignored anyway

i cant see having gender forums harming anybody else, i agree with @buttons; in that some things are definitely gender sensitive. i think it could actually help people, what about all the people who literally have nobody to ask in real life?

i know we haven't wanted gender forums in the past but i been using at hffm and enjoy them ! females at least are quite popular
i thought we could have something like that? or maybe "private" forums like how only members can view post a pic, that way we can say private stuff without worrying ppl irl will see it coz i usd to hold back thinking they wud see

would ask if uv used gender forums but i guess male gender forums dont generate as much as females do

i was only thinking about gender forums recently, it's definitely something im interested in i know there is deffo some topics that we wouldnt want other genders to see and would help generate discussion? although, cutting down on forums too is definitely something we should be doing also. i think we could merge like developments and habbox announcements, feedback & support with a special subforum within that, trading and anything about trading and furni, console & computer gaming with online games, tv and film and anime & other entertainment, perhaps, sport & discuss anything maybe??

I would like gender forms to speak about things I wouldn't want people from the public to easily access

alternatively, I know another forum had a personal section which was password protected, members PMed admin for the password if they wanted access

who would determine what was allowed to be posted in pword protected forum though, as you'd want a cut off between General discussion, spam and password protected so people don't just constantly post in the pw forum.

Regarding the Development Announcement forum - I believe that should be separate or at least be a sub-forum inside Habbox Announcements if anything. I just feel it should stand out as the threads in Hx Announcements normally override and may be missed more.

That's my two cents on that.

In regards of private/gender forums - Don't really have much a view on them. I'm happy to have them if that's what people want.

with merging announcements and developments, using prefixes would be the best course, just like [Development], [Staff Change] and [Notice] or something.
should have [Event] and maybe [AGM] prefixes in CNB as well if it were up to me

nothing, just that if it was found someone was leaking (rumours spread fast on habbox) then they get removed or the forums get removed. obviously u can't full proof it. would also only been people who had been around X number times with X number posts and people to vouch for them. but highly doubt any girls gna care about showing guys who can't orgasm, who has a heavy flow... dno bout guy forums.

what u think about private forum for all members? (well same again re posts, how long been round et)
