If you're being honest, that's really shameful.Hi guys, I made a thread in the mod forum asking for discussion on this and putting across my views but then I got snotty / sarcastic replies from Chris and Matt stating that I'm not the forum moderator so I shouldnt be putting across suggestions or getting discussion on points such as this.
Oh have just seen the postss above*

I wasnt imposing my views on anybody, I wasn't forcing anybody to reply nor was I impersonating or trying to be the forum manager. Feel free to move the thread to the public forums for everyone else to see. I don't expect that if I hadn't of made that thread, and now this reply then anything would have been done about the rule and it still might not so indeed - "hey ho".Let's get a few things straight shall we? I actually have no problems with the rule being removed but the way you created the thread in the Moderator Forums made out that you was now the Forum Manager. Considered a normal moderator also thought the same as my post in regards of the thread. You can have your own views and get ideas on stuff but there are better ways of doing it.
The actual rule itself can be removed or changed - It does not bother me in the slightest.
Considering we have already done suggestions from this thread - Why would you believe that nothing would have been done about the rules? You should probably start doing you are suppose to be doing first of. But hey ho.I wasnt imposing my views on anybody, I wasn't forcing anybody to reply nor was I impersonating or trying to be the forum manager. Il get popcorn, seats are £2.50 or 1500 tokens or 2gb.
What do you think this thread was created for? I wasn't going to gather feedback and then do nothing about it. I am deliberately waiting until enough feedback is gathered before any changes are made, because in the past, changes have been rushed and then reversed a few months later which is something I am trying to avoid.I wasnt imposing my views on anybody, I wasn't forcing anybody to reply nor was I impersonating or trying to be the forum manager. Oh don't ya just love a smod vs management fight in the public forums LOL PMS GUYS WOO
As I said in the thread, I don't think you can remove the rule completely, since in the past people have abused it, and someone has created that thread purely to sell their stuff, and sometimes when the thread moved onto talking about other stuff it can get in the way and annoy people (theres also a specific forum for discussing the specifics of furni too)
HOWEVER, I do think some lenience and moderator discretion needs to be used in cases like this. If the poster is asking a question which is related to the sale its allowed anyway and has been for as long as I can remember. I think if there are any enquiries about the furniture the OP is selling then it could potentially lead to a sale and so that should be fine in my view. I would say keep the rule, but use a bit of common sense and don't be too hard with it. We have relaxed a lot of areas of moderation and this is one of the old ones that also needs relaxing or people will feel they are in prison![]()

What's with the hey-ho.
Anyway, I know the trading forums aren't a place for discussion and that there is anything about trading and furni - however, sometimes it's just a bit overly strict, going against Chris recently telling me that the rules are much more relaxed now.
