That is probably true but it's just funny how the CEO said he doesn't like the tracking sites such as Pokevision but then they remove the steps feature anyway

even though someone released a fix on github that does the calculations client side: https://github.com/zaksabeast/pokemon-go-3-step-fix

they've also removed battery saver from ios...

Aren't they using Pokemon Go's API to get the information, so they can't really pursue a lawsuit..

Chances are Pokemon Go changed how it works with regards to its APIs so that the other websites can't track it anymore.

Although part of family is still really into the game, like they are challenging each other who would get a higher level or higher
cp of a pokemon. But it is pretty annoying when they do it at the grandmother's house during family gatherings because all i hear
is " ohmygod so many pokestops have incense " and " so tomorrow we have planned to go to [a certain place] to catch
more rare pokemon ". Like okay it is a family gathering, not a pokemon gathering. They better not do that shit this coming

Yeah I think the hype is died, when they release gen 2 of pokemon I might start playing it again but we'll see.

I never played it obsessively like a lot of people did when it came out so for me it's still the same - just a casual extra to going around places. If you play it like that it's obviously not competitive because you're not going to be as good as those who do it 24/7 but it does stop you from getting instabored of it
