At the same time if the forum was to become general teen related then would it not be odd for mostly Habbo-related skins?
I would suggest keeping the Classic skin though![]()

" When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. "
They said to remove habbo related skins/images supersam.

I think Habbox should get legal advice, because I don't think it's right to be expected to run a site without any financial help. The money that it costs owners to run sites is quite a bit of money and the owners do not make a profit, while it's a very tiny splash in the ocean to the likes of Sulake, who make millions. As I posted quite early on in this thread legal advice first. That is actually a great idea lol, but I doubt Habbo would allow us to show who donated by "publishing" their name on the forum in different colours.
I am very touched to see so many people complaining and supporting us
I think we first need to find out what the reason is behind this sudden change in policy, and wether it is Habbo UK or sulake headquarters behind it. Then we also know who we have to address about it.
Of course it is good to organise protests against it, but don't do anything illegal as they might blame Habbox for it.
I will get some legal advice to find out what exactly our position is in all this. But in any case if we can't work it out with Sulake in a friendly way we might lose our official status which would be a shame, considering how long it took us to get it lol.
Btw perhaps somebody can come up with a good way for us to make some (or a lot) of extra money, then it doesn't matter if we sell vip or give it for free.
If the only way forward is to comply with Sulake, then Habbox needs to promote itself, if it wishes to remain as a habbo fansite, official or unofficial, make use of companies that will gain new clients from advertising for a small fee.
one mobile phone company
one bank/building society
one travel agent
one teenage magazine
maybe one computer company.
and then support one charity with any profits.
Attract companies that want to support Habbox that will in return, gain them potential customers in the future! Habbox could still accept donations from members, and reward members for donating to charity with a privilege, the same way a marathon runner gets a medal when he finishes a raceI'm not sure how different that is to Habbos that participate in events and competitions to win NSPCC badges etc etc. ????
The fact that Habbox is the largest Habbo fansite, it should take advantage of that fact. It's been going for quite some time now, and has grown to be the most well known one, Habbox should grasp this opportunity to find money to pay for the servers and other costs. Why should Habbox be prevented from continuing to provide a free service to thousands because of a new rule that's been introduced recently. Sulake do need to explain why, because there is no reasonable explanation, other than a fear of their loss of earnings. How would Sulake feel if they were suddenly told they could no longer sell HC Membership, without a good reason? Shocked I imagine!
It's the quality of your posts that count, not the quantity!
Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them.
This is going to be awkward.
I'm gonna miss VIP...![]()
i'm out of touch, i'm out of love
i'll pick you up when you're getting down
and out of all these things i've done
i think i love you better now
The majority wouldn't stay if all non-Habbo related forums got moved. Then lots of VIP would be bought, and Google adds could be on both forums.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
all the habbo forums would remain but just add a few others just to prove that it is not a habbo fansite but a gaming/teen forum.
Habbox would still direct people to the forum and point out thee habbo content in it
Habbox is currently looking for independant advertising but how many would want to advertise on a habbo fansite? if it was a gaming and teen related site just imagine how many more people would want to advertise here? also as MissAlice suggests about the marketing with one of each companyhow many would do that when really they would be advertising habbo/sulake through habbox the habbo fansite. If it wasnt a habbo fansite and just a huge community with nobody to answer to then i would expect a huge amount of interest.
just emailing all the members (50,000+ including unconfirmed members) and telling them its no longer based around habbo would get a number of the users who left because of habbo being childish in their opinion return for a look and they may even stop.
The issue i would see is that habbox runs all of its departments through hxf but resigning as official should let this continuebut forum staff would need to be a different colour to hx staff.
The would not be moved but others games forums would be added even in subforums. look at all the international habbox forums like hxworld etcall failed
not because they were not good but because people dont want to be running from forum to forum so stick with the popular one and a name change and additions of other forums wouldnt hurt to be honest.
If it was not related to Habbo I think users would be more inclined to register too, as they wouldn't think the forum was about a random isometric game.all the habbo forums would remain but just add a few others just to prove that it is not a habbo fansite but a gaming/teen forum.

Well if habbox forum changed identity i would use itif it was a whole new forum I wouldnt bother even if relevent posts from hxf were displaid on it. rebranding in the ways suggested is just a last resort if the idiots at sulake dont get their arses in gear and put an end to this madness but its all down to sierk in the end
if it was me the less i could help promote habbo the better due to the stupid stance they have taken.
Hope it goes to court and then we can take the boys to flatten some noses of the people in suits from sulake![]()
I so wish it did i'd protest outside or be in coutroom, i hope im on the jury lol.
