The main reason I can't get into One Piece is because of the length. I just can't dedicate myself to such a long series when I've still got a lot of other series I want to check out. Also, yeah movie two is the one where Ash has to collect the fire, ice and lightning treasures.

I have always wondered what that movie would be like in Japanese though. The legend states 'Though the water's Great Guardian shall arise to quell the fighting, alone its song will fail. Thus the Earth shall turn to ash.' That's how they work out that Ash is the chosen one - his name is in the legend. The main character is called Satoshi in the Japanese version though, not Ash. So how did that work out in the original version? Thus the Earth shall turn to Satoshi? The English version must have been heavily edited. :eusa_wall

It is long, but when you get into it you'll be hooked like i was. But yes watching the movies would give you a nice taster. Movie 8 & 9 are retellings of Arcs. i think the main reason people never get into one piece is because of the start. it does start of a bit slowly. and its not until the Arlong arc and after it gets really good. but people dont give it that long to get into it.

Are you mad? What part of my post sounded like hate? I LOVE Pokemon and I LOVE the dub, MUCH better than the Japanese audio. MUCH. I was just saying how the Japanese version must be quite different because of the characters names, so quit making assumptions. I loved they way they incorporated Ash's name into the legend and the way it played out in the second movie, the development was very good... so why do you seem to think I'm complaining about it like it's a bad thing? I am a HUGE fan of everything Pokemon and have the utmost respect for the second movie, so quit your "you really the biggest Otaku I've ever seen" talk.

LOL coby.. hes only init for maximum fo 7 episodes.. and later on in the grandline.

but should really watch th emovies. Enis lobby arc was awesome.. the whole W7 stuff aswell but thats all like episode 200. thats also when the animation changed and it went HD.

why they taking so long in subbing/ripping gintama 162 D:

TV Tokyo do the subtitles and they're never late because they have a contract to follow. The episode is on the wesbite, on time as usual, but HorribleSubs just haven't ripped it yet. HorribleSubs don't sub anything just so you know. It's only been a day, they're hardly taking 'so long'. Also... there is a Gintama thread! >_<

Anyway. i have my season 9 now. so i now have all of Z Series + Movies.

I went to buy the new One Piece game for the wii today. wanting to suppourt OP in EU. Its impossible to buy it in any shop. Game says its online only, GS have never heard of it, HMV said they dont think they would get it in. and other people on a forum i go on and saying no where has it.. online only. so ive had to buy off amazon.

So ppl will feel my wrath >.> was hoping to be playing that today.
