They have said that all questions will be answered and time travel isnt a different story, it has been hinted and spoke about on lost since the beginning. Its always been there hiding in the background as key plot but didnt expand on it as the first few seasons were to tell the story up untill this point.

When we know the questions they will give out the awnsers they did that in season 3

jins alive lol and regarding the time travel, this gives us an oppitunity to learn about the islands past without them making a storyline just devoted to finding out (for example) where the black rock came from, im guessing throughout this season we will elarn of such things such as rauseaus crew, the black rock and the others past

So Lost S5 has been pretty awesome so far. I saw the promo for the new episode and it looks like they're trying to hide who Sun's really got the gun pointed at.

The writers said Jin was alive at the end of last season so that wasnt much of a surprise.

Sun will probably shoot Ben.

Ben says to Sun when she is pointing the gun (at ben with think) he says Jin is alive an i can prove it!

If you remember correctly, they went to the Temple as it happened. So I guess that somehow protected them.
