He hardly twisted their words, the straight order was "You should kill us on sight"

Thats not twisting any sort of words lmao.

The Silence order the Humans to kill them (I'm guessing its a plot for a new super enemy) because Moffat wants a fight with something new, and it's no longer revolution its war.

No idea why he didn't leave them to live in silence though, cause give it 20 or so years and the whole world is under CCTV and would have plenty of footage of the silence. Thats why im guessing its set prior to mass cctv.

The full quote from the silence would be "You tend to my wounds, you are foolish." "why what would you do in my place?" "we have ruled your lives, since your lives began, you should kill us all on sight, but you will never remember we where even here, your world is ours."

They just cut down the bull **** and told the main point, it was a threat at its highest level and all they did was broadcast what the Silence told them to do.

If someone told me he'd killed people and that I should tell the police, I think i'd tell the police.

Someone explain to me why Moffat is a "genius" (as Gallifrey Base and other forums are pointing out) for putting a giant teaser at the end of the episode AND getting one of the most beloved, child-idol figures in British television history to essentially commit genocide?

I hated Amy plot device and the LOST agenda, thank god Amy is fixed into now this stable character and now we can play off of Rory's lovable characteristics. The LOST agenda is still there, laughably, but what I just cannot handle is showing millions of little people that the way to deal with an alien race, yes a very evil one who have slaughtered so many (so have the Daleks and even the Doctor shows more mercy), is to commit genocide? That's literally what just happened and I... ugh. I don't like it. Simple as.

Yeah but he was saying it to Canton and was essentially ranting on about how the human beings would react if they truly knew what they had done.

Did the Silence, as an entire species, specifically ask the Doctor to kill them all? It's also obvious from all of the HEY REMEMBER IN SERIES FIVE WHEN THAT GUY SAID "SILENCE" that this won't be the last we see of them. Your bit about "its war" is probably going to happen with episode seven, titled "A Good Man Goes To War." but I don't think this is the last we'll see of them. Although the Doctor just committed genocide I believe the girl is the key to bringing them back.

"All they did was broadcast what the Silence told them to do."

Except this is the Doctor. He hates guns, supposedly.

Fez I feel you may have grown to mature towards Dr Who and forgot the little things.

There has always been Teasers within Dr Who, always, Moffat may leave big ones, but do you not think they may be a side track, and yet still with the big ones there we're left clueless?

The script seems stronger now than ever, with the relations now tightening between Rory & The Doctor, and it having some real characteristics between them all, and yet they're still all having fun, I bet river song would love to reminisce about jumping from the 50th floor into the tardis swimming pool.

Its got character, its got a script, you may not agree with it anymore, but like said above, the teasers he does drop aren't that big in retrospect.

Genesis of the daleks? It's about protecting those who are innocent and the silence were probably gonna kill them so he has to choose.

There's a difference between BAD WOLF and the SILENCE, given that BAD WOLF is revolved in one season and the SILENCE take a literal year to have any pay-off. There is a difference between hinting for the sake of hinting and a plot arc/clue thing.

The Rory/Doctor relationship is going somewhere which I like. I'd love it to go where I'm thinking but even if it does I won't forgive. Odd he's not teasing what's going to happen

"the teasers he does drop aren't that big in retrospect."

A little girl regenerating isn't big at all?
Amy may or may not be pregnant TUNE IN A FEW MONTHS TO GET THE ACTUAL DELIVERY!

It's not that I don't like intrigue, that's fine I love a hint or two, it's just when the last half of an episode two-parter just uses them as fuel. It's like a Series One episode just having BAD WOLF BAD WOLF WHAT DOES IT MEAN for thirty minutes.

Kill who? Why would the Silence kill humankind after they just got them to the moon? Clearly they want to manipulate them into finding escape off the planet, hence the moon landings, there's absolutely no reason to kill humanity. They're using them just like... well every Who monster ever really.

Who's to say its amys, all these teasers still lead out, you saw Amy holding a child? Big whoop, have you never had a picture taken at a christening holding a child of a close friend or relative?

    We still need to guess.

And The Doctor is not using weapons, he's using words. An alien race shouldn't be confident while fighting the Doctor, and thats probably why he runs into their fake tardis screaming "Oh I'm confident" because he knows when to choose his times to be. Not the best time to be confident enough to say you should kill us all when someone is holding a video phone to your face, and don't be stupid enough to say it didn't know it was being recorded, its made a freaking tardis.

The silence had taken over, they were the media power of the world, thats why the doctor used media to make them fall, in the media its the person with the better broadcast that wins, and im guessing the Doctor had the better format & broadcast.
