But Misa loves Light dearly, had Rem killed Light it would have destroyed Misa. Rem does indeed want whats best for her, which is why she killed L and Watari. You'll probably understand by the end of the series, but if you don't I will be able to explain it better.
I really hate Near with a passion. I like to think the series ended after L's death, but the last two episodes are just too brilliant to discard. Plus Mikami is a monster and so interesting to watch. It just isn't the same without L, though. I was probably saddest about Yagami Soichiro's death. He was the only sane, truly innocent and kind character in the entire series. I wouldn't really call it revenge though, as Light is beyond caring about anyone but himself at this point. His dads death didn't affect him in the slightest.
@Ryuzaki - Why would you even buy Afro Samurai: Resurrection? D: It was such a disappointment.
Why do you hate near? he's great!
I don't think mikami has been introduced yet? not that I've realised, i'm just starting ep 31, or am i just getting confused? explain, without spoilers, why you hate N haha :L

Was £5 and i like to have my things complete. Gonna draw tonight aswell see if i still have my skillz
Mikami is the tall guy with kinda long hair, he's a lawyer or something like that I think. If he hasn't been introduced yet he should be soon. To avoid spoilers, I'll tell you my opinions on Near once you finish Death Note.![]()

Finished watching the series, The ending was strange, but I think it was the correct way for it to finish. I still don't understand why you hate N haha. I'm glad that there was a scene with L at the end![]()

I hate Near because he is pretty much just a generic copy of L and the fact that he does near to nothing to actually work out who Kira is and just rides off of others peoples information annoys me. He just seems cheap and was definitely no match for Light. He would have been long dead had it not been for Mikami.
Matsuda totally stole the last episode for me, though. His performance was damn perfect and watching him just snap was incredibly, jaw-droppingly, breathtakingly immense.

Awh hell yeah. :8

It's from the recap specials, which are pretty much only worth watching for this scene alone.

Ah fair enough then, but he did piece it all together in the end to be fair, although I can't help but feel he used M, Also, I really don't think the should have...I hate Near because he is pretty much just a generic copy of L and the fact that he does near to nothing to actually work out who Kira is and just rides off of others peoples information annoys me. Near bearly pieced it all together. It was only thanks to Mello that he didn't die. I like that they killed off L. I mean he's one of my all time favourite characters, but Death Note would have just been another generic show had he beaten Light. Good wins, predictable, shows over, move on kinda thing. But Light, one of the most purely evil characters ever, was actually able to completely eradicate everything in his way and had very much begun to create his perfect world. That's what sets Death Note apart from the rest, the fact that the villain nearly always has the upper hand.
The first 140-ish episodes of Bleach (minus fillers) are great fun, but I wouldn't recommend it purely because after then it goes completely downhill and never recovers. What genres are you in to? I'm sure I could recommend a couple of series based on your tastes.
