My Grandmas £349 Acer laptop... I chose Windows Classic as the theme and have noticed a big improvement in performance. Aero is way to big and chunky and bloats the system up too much....

Once again you're wrong, Aero hardly "bloats the system" let alone too much, unless you're using a ridiculous system (which you are) and if you are you should be on XP not Vista as it's obviously not the right OS for your hardware.

People with modern hardware (i.e 3+ GB ram) don't care about Vista's "bloat" as they're too busy not noticing it.

Seriously Nick all I see from you is wrong statements after wrong statements, I think it's time you go and read up the facts on some technology forums.
