Despite living hundreds of miles away from it, I'm still genuinely quite scared after seeing the images on the news. It's ridiculous, un-called for, unnecessary and totally unjustifiable, I simply cannot believe that these people are destroying innocent people's homes, businesses, cars, and for what exactly? It has actually made me physically angry.

It's really quite embarassing if you think about it, as a country in lieu of hosting the Olympic Games next year, what sort of image is this going to give off? What sort of security are we going to have there, fully kitted out riot police again, incase it all kicks off again?

Hundreds of miles? You guys got nothing to worry about. I'm worrying it might kick off where I am while sleeping, and that is the most dangerous combination of all.

I like the bit where people are rioting because other people are doing it and it's fun.

Enough of fancy gear and silly tactics, take a leaf from our old Police/the French Police and run at them with batons, give them a crack over the head.

A great post on the Mail, thought i'd share.

I came from a very poor family, with many generations suffering from poverty, but my mother never allowed me or my siblings to slack or continue the cycle of poverty. She made us very ambitious, courteous, and respectful of others. Now I am on my way to attaining a professional degree, and have worked hard to get where I am. Don't let these images affect your view of black people. We are all not like this. The police need to toughen up ASAP and take down the BBM network so people cant use their BBs to organise nonsense. These kids are getting excited thinking no-one can touch them!

Powell argued that although "many thousands" of immigrants wanted to integrate, he contended that the majority did not, and that some had vested interests in fostering racial and religious differences "with a view to the exercise of actual domination, first over fellow-immigrants and then over the rest of the population".[8] Powell's peroration of the speech gave rise to its popular title. He quotes the Sibyl prophesies in the epic poem Aeneid, 6, 86, of "wars, terrible wars, and the Tiber foaming with much blood" (Bella, horrida bella, Et Thybrim multo spumantem sanguine):

As I look ahead, I am filled with foreboding. Like the Roman, I seem to see "the River Tiber foaming with much blood". That tragic and intractable phenomenon which we watch with horror on the other side of the Atlantic but which there is interwoven with the history and existence of the States itself, is coming upon us here by our own volition and our own neglect. Indeed, it has all but come. In numerical terms, it will be of American proportions long before the end of the century. Only resolute and urgent action will avert it even now. Whether there will be the public will to demand and obtain that action, I do not know. All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.[9]
It appears as though the prophecy is being fulfilled. I do however think that its not only a failure of the ridiculous policy of multi-culturalism now coupled with mass immigration - but a breakdown in the family and education. But will anybody learn or listen?

The dude carried a replica gun around, he deserved to be shot.

As for all these black folks tearing London up and stealing ****, get the hell out of our country. I don't even care what you all think of me. It's mostly black folk and they spend half their life crying that they're stereotyped but it's true. They're a violent, thieving bunch of ingrates.

Controversial? Not really. I'm just saying what everyone else is thinking.
