Nah, I don't think Sayid is. It was so weird that the "Nemesis of Jacob was the Smoke monster, sort of a cop out but still. At least they didn't say it was some evil spirit crap. What's going on with the whole plane landing things, is that like the new flashback/forward thing?

I assume its like... what would of happened. My theory is that they put time back to how it was spose to be, but the original 'cast' are still where they are but they have fixed time for everyone else in the real world.

and LostPedia has a quote from LAX 1&2 saying "Damon and Carlton promised that a new device would be introduced at Comic-Con. This appears to be the "flash sideways" (as Carlton Cuse calls them[1]) to a timeline where 815 never crashed introduced in this episode. "

Finally had some time to watch E01/2 and I must say I was really pleased with how they started the season. If you didn't catch on that the smoke monster was Esau/dark shirt after the finale last season then shame on you. The hints were all over the place :x

can't wait for the rest of the episodes, this season should be incredible

I thought it was obvious the smoke monster was the dude Jacob was speaking to?
Anyway, I think there must have been a thing where Jacob and Esau couldn't kill each other.
Quite sad Juliet died, but was obvious as the actress has a new show now .
