The new ECW is owned by WWE, the old (100x better) ECW was a small indy fed gone big.

    Yup 100% Correct!

Just shows how much of a joke ECW is nowadays.
Before, you would have Maint event matches like Raven vs. Dreamer, Sabu vs. Funk, etc.
Now you have a Champ who doesn't even wrestle and Black Lesnar with a voice of a 10 year old.

Wow, someone thought that WWE owned ECW from its conception.

Ted Gordon owned Eastern Championship Wrestling and Paul Heyman turned it into Extreme Championship Wrestling.

The moment they got the TV deal, they weren't indy.

Call him the ultimate opportunist, call him a cheater, but after Judgment Day, our fans better still call Edge World Heavyweight Champion. This week on SmackDown, Kane, Mark Henry, Finlay and Batista will face off in a Fatal Four Way Match to determine the No. 1 contender to the Rated-R Superstar's gold. Who will earn the right to face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at One Night Stand? Following Judgment Day, will The Animal roar into SmackDown on Friday, even more determined to make the champion a fresh kill? What will happen when the brand's finest compete for a golden opportunity?

Meanwhile, MVP’s “ballin’” all the way to Des Moines with his new United States Championship. After months of coming up just short of the prize, SmackDown’s “Franchise Playa” came up money Sunday night, scoring the most valuable pinfalls of his WWE career against the Rabid Wolverine, Chris Benoit. But wearing championship gold and keeping it are two very different goals. Can MVP keep the bling around his waist, or will a new Franchise Playa-hater be waiting for him in the ring Friday night?

In addition to the most exciting ring action in sports-entertainment, Timbaland’s “Throw it on Me” makes its network television debut on SmackDown. With summer on the horizon, look for the hip-hop master’s latest video to turn up the heat several degrees, especially since it features several of WWE’s most smokin’ Divas.

Expect SmackDown to sift through some very heavy Judgment Day wreckage this Friday night, 8/7 CT on The CW.

I think Batista is going to win. I can't see Kane in the main event, hes been buried lately and finlay and mark henry are heels. Should be a good match though.
