I'm shocked they're using a global mute because of "a few users." They didn't do stuff like this during the Lido Raids on USA lol, even when it crashed the server.

Sulake just doesn't know what to do right now.

I've put out a call for them to send a Mass Alert; no success; just get the automated "Due to the challenging behavior of a few users we have decided to mute the site and will update you when we have more information." -.-, So it looks like we just have to let them wonder around.. making more calls/thinking their computers broken hah. Great times.

Where it's gained so much publicity they have to take these measures to save their own backs; not that it looks any good if they're on maintenance or mute either way..

They should really just shove us on maintenance, this muting is boring. And I'll actually do something productive if it goess to maintenance LOL.

yeah, uh, i don't know if things have had an aboutface (doubtful) but a few years ago it was a game for preteens to show your hooha to your online boyfriend or girlfriend — voluntarily. there have been a few legitimate, physical pedophile cases on sites like this. didn't some girl or whatever get murdered or raped through neopets a few years back? i guarantee you habbo is not a pedophile breeding ground and the whole message i am getting by reading between the lines of the articles on this case is that ...

... adults are shocked to hear their kids talking explicitly about sex!

oh my god, if only adults could have some sort of astral projection experience and visit the underneath of staircases and backs of carparks in schools, private stalls in loos, the facebook message inbox their kid uses, their kid's registration history for different websites and perhaps a viewing of what their precious daughter did last with the boy from church. i don't think 'can i c ur vagina on cam' on habbo would be so terrible for them at that point. scapegoat, i guess.

I didn't realise that was you! He's pretty much saying that because you were on the council then you're not allowed an opinion. Not good at all.

This is the scary thing. Quite a few members of my family work with young people and the amount of paperwork that goes into this kind of thing is unbelieveable. As a Sixth Former, we had to wear ID at all times whilst in school; visitors in schools must wear ID; educational researchers must be CRB checked; teens going on work experience with young people must be CRB checked; reports must be written if a child has an accident whilst in their care - there are SO many checks and procedures in the real world, and I do think the internet is lagging behind. Current legislation is outdated and it's up to the powers that be to ensure they meet the needs of a fast-growing, evolving, dangerous, postmodern society.

Honestly, it'd look better if it were on maintenance. The mute just proves that there are too many Habbos for the moderators to handle on their own.

If I was a new user and went into any of the top 10 rooms of that hour, there would be atleast 10 people being sexually explicit towards my/other Habbos.

It's been happening for years and they've ignored it, their own fault.
