I agree, not all rollercoasters in the UK stink. Sure, I love my thrilling rollercoasters but I also like other rollercoasters such as the Grand National at BPB, yes it isn't particularly scary but then again it's the oldest rollercoaster in the park. Rollercoasters don't have to be 400ft high with 12 loops or whatever to be good.

Universal is boring compared to Alton Towers for me, the Hulks the only good ride there. and i guess Americans don't know how to queue (its an old english joke)

Pipp, if you refer to my first post, I'm being blunt. There are no rollercoaster rides in the UK that are worth spending the ludicrous entrance fees, but we still line up for them.

I am half-American, half-British, and have lived in both countries, so I know what I'm talking about. As far as offending me or any other American or Brit, shoot for it. It's a discussion forum after all. As long as you don't insult anyone personally you aren't breaking any rules. And I have a thick skin, so no problem.

WTH are you comparing Busch Gardens to then? I'm talking about the one in Tampa Bay, FL - They keep building new 'coasters all the time so when was the last time you went?

Personally I have never seen the point in waiting 2 hours to go on one ride and paying a fortune in the mean time

Like another post roller coaster dont have to be stomach churning vomit inducing rides the top 5 coaster in the UK i have been on only 4 of them have less than 4 inversions

    • PepsiMax:Blackpool Pleasure Beach Inversions : None :Highest fastest rollercoaster in europe 215ft and 85.2mph
    • Millenium Coaster: Fantasy Island Skegness Ingoldmells Inversions:5
    • Klondike Gold Mine: was demolished but I went on it: DraytonManor Inversions: 1
    • Missile: American Adventure Ilkeston Derbyshire (I live a 5 minute walk away but the AA has now been turned into a kiddies park and the missile was demolished last month) Inversions 2 (but you also went backwards a boomarange coaster)
    • Twin Looper: American Adventure Ilkeston Derbyshire Inversions: 2
I live a 5 minute walk away from the AA my friend lives in Blackpool Ive been to drayton manor once and go to Fantasy island every year on holiday

    RollerCoatser 1 BlackPool Pepsi Max:
Coaster 2 Millienum at Fantasy Island (Im gonna find a pic of me on it lol but erase my face) The Yellow Track

3rd Coaster Klo Mine Coaster now demolished I think this is a photo when it was a) being build or b) not functional or c) when it was being demolished (hence the people on the hill) It can't be that old because Maelstrom is in the background but When i went in 2003/04 the ride had more scenery and you couldnt see the supports. And the hill was boxed in.
    Coaster 4 Missile: Now demolished

    Coaster 5: TwinLooper AA
The first picture taken when the coaster was just plain and didnt match the scenery of Indian the second picture is taken when the re-themeing of the loops to match JCB theme also the carts have JCB written on the side of them and are now yellow and black previously red and black with blue sqares.
Also the cart feature were you could sit backards has now been removed although further updates WHEN i got to the AA (Just for the reports for you guys) As seen in the small image at the bottom the backwards seats.

Here is 2 photos of the new look JCB TwinLooper coaster running.

Summary : I Think american rides are brill although I have never left the UK but some of the UK RIDES RULES!
