God made the world in seven days (well, six if you don't count the day he was resting) I'm not really religious but I am Christian.

With a large spoon.
It came out a cracker.
Gravity is pretty much enterily reponable, cosmic dust, attracts together, via it, when gets to big ignites, hence a star, the sun, this pulls any remaining dust in to oribit, which eventaly forms planets, such as earth...
the question doesnt ask how the universe itself was created, so theres not even a question of god, this lots already been definitily proven, If you disagree with it, you may as well still belive the earth is flat... i mean, that is what the bible says...
Big Bang Theory. :\

Back for a bit
I think trying to explain the beginning of the universe is pretty easy compared to the start of life. Anybody want to try lol? And I mean the START of life, not how life became diverse (evolution). It is completely different.
I always thought that Christians believed Genesis was a symbolic representation of the beginning of the universe, I didn't realise they actually thought it took 6 days.
I don't believe it took 6 days, but I guess people might say that the first instance of time in the universe was triggered by God, and the rest since then is cause and affect.
Like I said, the beginning of life is more interesting.
Only cos I helped. You got stuck making train timetables so I had to help.Originally Posted by Growl

An explanation of Allah's creation of the physical universe through the various steps unfolding according to the Will of Allah from photons at the beginning all the way up to Adam, and through Adam to us today.
Adam in Islam is much more easy to understand than in Christianity. Adam was created by God as the first man but the tree thing etc. never happened.
It also wasnt a 7 day thing or whatever, it took a while for Allah to plan the whole Universe, not just Earth.
The first teaching of the creation of the Universe in Islamic scriptures shows that Muslims believed there was more plannets than Earth. Remember this was just after the beginning of the Old Testament of the Bible and Jews didnt believe there was more plannets than Earth until proven.
