    Pfft, the willing of wanting to be one.

    By the way - forgot to add this to my reason why your voice is an instrument.

    Your voice is the ultimate instrument, its the only instrument every other instruments try to copy.

    I'm sure there's a lot of people who wanna be a musician, but not many people have the skill to write and play music. A lot of people can sing, well or not is irrelevant.

    Nope. Why do beat boxers copy instruments then?
    Which would someone want to see more? Opera or an a capella performance? (I'm meaning mature adults, not some stupid teenagers (not calling you one btw)).
    Hell, even dictionary.com agrees with me again;
    a cap·pel·la k-pl)
    adv. Music Without instrumental accompaniment.

    But hang on? How can an instrument, claimed by you as your voice, be un-accompanied by instruments, when "it is one"?
    It can't. Therefore, vocals are not instruments, which is why they are always differently used and written.

    Walk away now and save yourself embarassment.

    edit;
    paragraphs got messed.

    Exactly stated in the definition it is not accompanied by an instrument, and the "voice" is producing music... now tell what do you classify something thats not an instrument but still makes music?

    I do have to agree you got me with this one but -- anything that can keep rhythm, beat, and sound is an instrument.

    I don't even have to argue your points, THE DICTIONARY does it for me;
    mu·sic (myzk)
    n.
    1. Vocal or instrumental sounds possessing a degree of melody, harmony, or rhythm
    Notice how they categorise vocals and instruments differently?

    Vocals and instruments are categorised differently same as bass and treble clef music. They still pertain to the same thing.

    Now, Heinous, sadly I have to depart... this was somewhat fun for me. But if this thread is still open I will continue. But now I have to sleep, have school in the morning.
