I think its because, as Zidane was being wound up, and because hes algerian [Zidane] Materzzi might of said "What are you going to do when you retire? be a bomber?" because Algeria is a dangerous country.

Materazzi might've been asking about Zidane's mother. Asking if he's going to be a bomber isn't really that offensive compared to asking about his mother.

I read the newspaper. According to this Brazilian newspaper, this "Read mouth" job ( I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE TECHNICAL TERM FOR THIS OCCUPATION IS), M Matterazi said to Zidane and attempted to aggravate him.
"You are an Italian betraying dog."
"Your sister is a ho" - I did the typo purposely.

He done it because;
His mom went into hospital sick, so he went to play the game with his mom on his mind all day and while the match was on. So the guy called him a dirty terrorist he jogged ignoring it then he cussed zidane's mom, so he turned around ran up to him and headbutted him.
