Around $100 last time I read upon it, but they never really get to trial as they find they can solve it usually. This is pointless Nick, you broke the TOS so you should pay, although the company is a pile of rubbish if they do take you to court then I hope they win.

If you were to go to court you would most likely have to pay attorney fees, court fees, and any travel fees if they win.

Nick, i highly doubt they would take you to court, but if you have the money then i recommend using it to pay your debt.

Well, if you are in a legal contract then you need to pay it. Its your own fault. That document could stand in court along with the T&C and you could end up with paying it anyway and paying your legal fees.

And tbh even if you win, your legal fees will be over £55. PAY IT.

All I can say is it's your own fault.

Nick is in the process of getting the money, we all no he didn't think long term or read the t&c , but little support would be great

its not Hugoton being the bad guy, its there datacenter. so enough with the down talk about nick and hugo and a touch of support would probebly be much more apprieated

I also think nick12 your a liar. You told me that you were in university and that you were on a dedicated server paying 50 GBP for it monthly and that you earnt around 100 GBP monthly. If you really are why not pay your debt of with that?
Anywayz I hope you don't have to go to court or pay it .

    awelsh Very good idea.

Nick12 you could quite easily state that you will not be paying it due to less than 99% downtime.

Now, here is some advice to all budding hosts: NEVER EVER MAKE UPTIME PROMISES! Nick could argue with that, and he'd win it easily. An uptime percentage is not a rough estimate - if it turns out to be 98%, then your *****ed as all you customers could report you to the OFC (Office of Fair Trading).
