I've been through some ****ing awful stuff but a part of me wants to get rid of those memories and a part of me doesn't as what doesn't kill you makes you stronger in a way.

Nope, I would want to forget any of it.
I used to want to forget about how my life had been and how unfair blah blah. But really if that kind of stuff didnt happen and I didnt remember it I would be 1/2 the person I am today.
