I see things you don't, like the work he puts in, the willingness to change the way he is working (something I sure as hell can't do), the amount of work he does.

Well, do you actually go searching for his name?
I know for a fact, he lives +1 hour from UK time, when we're finishing school, he is likely to be on here and helping out with moderating.
I know for a fact, he's defiantly 1 of the longest moderators we've had, not in this current spell, no; but he has worked as a moderator before.
And he is also very level-headed, which (i'm not saying anyone else isn't, but since he's the topic, i'm referring to him), is quite essential for this role.

and the only reason i'm going to mention M.B.E, is because noone else has really stood up for him.

all well and good, but he isn't online no where as near as much as all the others, and doesn't put in as much work or effort as much as the others. this isn't a personal vendetta against him or nothing, but the best person should be picked for the job. and i will stand by that.

He chooses to do that in his spare time, I don't really see why it concerns anyone else.

Don't take this the wrong way, all the admins are pretty nice people. Ostinato did deserve the position as much as MAD, but its really not your choice is it. He is a really nice guy, but its not like the management hire people depending fully on their personalitys.

At the end of the day, you can't do anything about it.

i wasn't moaning about the welcome thing, i was using it as an example. and i know this won't do anything, but it's a hell of a lot better to express our opinions than being kept quiet. but i still feel that ostinato did deserve the promotion a lot more, he had been assistant forum manager before ---MAD---, and tbh i don't even know why ---MAD--- was made assistant forum manager, when ostinato already was, and he was doing a brilliant job from what everyone else could see. and i know it's not up to me, but i'm one to always say how i feel &what i think.

it was nothing personal against anyone, i was just expressing my opinion.

&well ant, anyone can suggest ways to improve the forum. but no one does. there should be a stickied thread/section to post your ideas to improve the forum. not that it'll get noticed..

I can't comment on the Super Mods, the 2 new ones were decided by A4AOwen before he resigned and I don't have much knowledge on who is best. There is still one to come. A4AOwen gave 3 nominations, and we chose 2.

The new forum Super Mods are actually on a 2 week trial.

MAD definately does deserve Forum Manager, I can promise you that. I don't say things unless I truely believe it and I am certain that MAD deserves it.

As for Catszy, Wayne. and nvrspk4 we're aware of them being good and they've not been forgotten.

We're also aware that the moderators seem to have more problems than in the past. Until today A4AOwen and Ostinato have been in charge of moderators so new management might change this. MAD was not allowed before now to deal with moderators, only technical stuff. This may explain why you think he does nothing.

you do know that making A4AOwen forum manager was a massive mistake? he barely knew the forum rules let alone how to handle a forum. also, you never actually stated in the announcement they are on a two week trial. but i still think, well i don't think, i know, that nixt, foxmoth & :jamie deserved that trial a hell of a lot more, but meh. and well tbh, i do think that rosie wayne and nvrnoob does get forgotten, nvrspk has been the longest serving administrator, if i'm not wrong? and he's still classed as the 'little admin', which i see as unfair. also, i don't see the reason why he isn't allowed to handle with vip features and update them, he told me. i see that as a little unfair. but tbh i don't think anyone will change my mind on what i've already posted. they can prove me wrong, by all means. and i will apologise. but i'm too stubborn to change my mind on who deserves what.
