You think train spotting is boring? Some guy in my class last year at college was a bus spotter, at break he'd go to the library and look at pictures of buses.

i dont have time to write down the numbers, theres 5 digit numbers on every carriage how would i have time??

The number varies; most times nowadays it's more than 5.

That's what train spotters do - they try to get down all the numbers.

This is typical train spotters - some people may do it differently but then there'd be no point.
