tbh, I would have thought this whole saga was one big joke. The statement about that being the skill of most Habbo's is completely untrue - take a look in the Web Design section!

Its okay but its too plain and empty , also the banner and nav take up too much space
Well done on the winner though![]()
I think lots of people on this forum could do better, it's just a iFrame on a very basic template. You could do this on MS frontpage, make lots of tables and images and insert a iframe at the bottom.Give the guy a break. It was a habbo based competition that does attract kids in the range of 12-16 year olds. If i do say so myself i think that is pretty good considering such a young age orientated community.
Those who say they could do better most probably couldn't. We all start somewhere don't we, and as time progresses you learn new skills and techniques. I say well done to the guy at least he didn't rip his layout. An honest competition entry i must say.
I've seen better looking freewebs templates
The UK is generally not to bad at making websites, we're not a country in poverty where barely anyone uses the internet and understands HTML.Comparing to other countries is a tricky debate. Depends on the background the person has.
Put it straight. It's not horrible is it? I was going to say there are few that could do better of course. You will always get the talent somewhere anywhere. But it remains to be seen whether they applied or not.
But some who are saying freewebs is better are just over exaggerating. It's not about freewebs or all that. It's the concept of it. Can you really imagine a company using a freewebs template? It's not bad but i can imagine the competition wasn't as popular to attact that talent you're talking about. It obviously came out best on all the other entries. Although you are right in some aspect.
Lol I agree. That's the skill of web design, lol at that! LOADS of fansites are much better than that, presentation and coding wise.
It's very hard the iFrames in IE as you have to scroll down in a annoying way if you see what I mean? Plus the website is pretty useless to the average person over than the contact page.
I mean.. the images are JPEGS.. what noobs.
I never ever said we were a country in poverty i said if you compare us to another country it can be tricky. Some countries in europe can be more developed than the uk in terms of computing and ict. This is a known fact and i have read this before in the newspaper. I didn't say we were a country in poverty. We are a very wealthy country but that isn't to say we're developed more than every other country in europe.I think lots of people on this forum could do better, it's just a iFrame on a very basic template. You could do this on MS frontpage, make lots of tables and images and insert a iframe at the bottom.
