Meh, I am prepared to live till I'm 5000 and I am doign well so far. Wish me luck when I get hit by a volcano in a hurricane.

On a less serious note, it won't happen in our life time, so really there is no need to fear. Unless, you are someone who believes in reincarnation, so start worrying now

As far as I know, the last meteor that was meant to come and knock us down got dragged away by the immense gravity of Jupiter, where instead of destroying the planet, it made a little dent.

Also could we not just like rub the Earth or something to charge the magnet :8

Very mis-informed documentary, although its not proven conclusively its widely believed this happens quite alot, and the magnetic field inverts every couple of 100 thousand years. (aka gets weaker and weaker till polls switch over positive and negative swap places, so everyones compass's will be backwards)

    No big deal
