I think it originally came from the Tango advert, where that orange dude went up and slapped that guy, and shouted "you know when you've been tangoed!" After a while they banned the advert because school kids were doing it.
When I was at school, it never happened, but a friend from college has had it happen to her, by school kids, and it was being filmed.

Lol that has never, ever came to our school I didn't even know what it was but I see it on most forums now.
I wouldn't care if it was just like a friendly tap on the cheek to your friend when they arent paying attention, lol aww, but doing it to aggresively to randoms is a bit.. strange and out-of-order? Ah it doesn't bother me hugely though.

A mate of mine used to be into the whole Happy Slap crewz with his "crew" so me and my mates disliked him and he came up to my one mate with his crew and like punched him and recoreded it.

So me and all my mates jumped him when he was walking home one night, I know we did wrong but we wanted to show him what it's like

I think it's completly disgusting what people do to random students, children, adults, all of which are both male and female which is even worse.
Two boys even lit a person on fire on the news which is completly wrong :@

Luckily it doesnt happen at my school. I am generally a laugh at school, but I cant tolerate being hit on the head more than twice in an hour. Seriously, red mist comes down if I get hit on the head either too hard or too much. :@, VERY annoying!
