I lived in Shanghai for a few months of my life. While over there, it was really apparent that the Government in quite happy to stick thier noses into internet services and shut them down without warning. There are plently of websites and forums which are blocked completely, for everyone.
As farfetched as it sounds, my guess is that Habbo was seen as another way for intelligence about the country to be leaked out. Most chatrooms over there are shut down anyway.. unless they can only be used internally, and not internationally.

Communism is all about keeping secrets and staying in power, the USSR was just like China.

maybe, they might set up a claim your furniture contact form to claim your furniture to move it to another hotel, but it probs wont happen ;-]

even if they did, chinese habbos wont be able to access, as they probs will have all habbo hotels urls blocked over there due to that law thingy.

The clever thing for Habbo to do would be to not delete the Hotel, change it into a Indian Hotel or a South African Hotel, that would mean the Hotel would be more established with Furniture and so on.
