He may still be alive, its not for sure that he was on that helicopter. However, I guess he would have come forward, or someone would have heard from him since if he wasn't.

It has been confirmed that Colin Mcrae, his son Johnny, and 2 family freinds have been killed in the helicopter crash which took place on his land when the helicopter came down and burst into flames.

It could have been worse, if Alister and Jimmy were onboard, but thankfully they were not.
