Well thing is, Im 14 on 25th Oct

And ive wanted a Laptop all year, My mum suggested i could have one at the beginning of the year, and since ive been in trouble with the police for thieving sweets she now says i cannot have one, but if im good i can have onw for xmas, but i DONT want too wait tht long for one, and tbh, i have everthing i need allready a laptop would just complete it all. How can i make her get me one?


Sorry if you think im arrogant, or selfish, but i want this laptop so bad i could kill myself.

Help on how i can get one in such little time, + rep

PS. at the moment, im acting as if im depressed and not talking to my parents because they wont get me one. will this help them get me one?

I think you should get a job (part time if your in school) and buy a laptop yourself, that gives you the responsability and will know how much things cost. A laptop costing £600? It doesnt sound like it will be a good laptop if its that cheap. You will only be able to use it for school work/internet maybe but nothing big like gaming.

Like already said it is nothing to do with how much your family income is. That is completely irrelevant. The whole argument against you here isn't because your family cannot afford to get you one - it's simply the fact that you in no way deserve one.

If you read what I said correctly you will notice I said "If you think a laptop is worth killing yourself over then you will not get far in life." There is a huge difference between someone saying they will kill themselves than someone who actually goes ahead and does it.

Just because your parents can afford it, doesn't mean that they should buy it for you.

My parents could probably afford buying me a brand new BMW M5 for my first car, but will they? No. Will they buy me my first car? No. They think that I need to work for my money to understand what its worth, which I agree with.

You, on the other hand, clearly have no concept of money, and act asif since your parents can afford something, they should spend it on you. They make the 35-50k a year salarie, shouldn't you think that they should spend it on what they want?

If you keep the same additude as you did in this thread, your never going to get that laptop. And if you wanted it so bad, you'd actually try to be nice and help out.
