In all fairness, homophobia isn't something you can control, just like claustrophobia isn't something you can control. The way you have described everything to everyone on the forum suggests you are way too open about your sexuality, which in all fairness; you brought it on yourself.

It's like suspending someone for having a fear of spiders.

I disagree completely. Claustrophobia and arachnophobia are actually mental conditions, physical fears. Homophobia is discrimination. I think there should be a different word for it though. Because people can be ageist, racist etc and the suffix 'ist' in this case means discriminative. Where as phobia means afraid of. People who abuse homosexuals aren't afraid of them, just discrimintive of them.

I am gay myself, i think it's okay for people to not like me for my sexuality, i don't see why they would have a problem with it, but as long as they keep it in their heads i'm fine with it. For instance, i have a predjudice against immigrants, because i come from a majority white community. I don't voice these opinions though, but they subconciously affect how i react when first meeting someone that falls into this class.
