Here we go again, most parents work, my mum does, though she earns roughly £7,000 a year. Thats hardly anything seems the line for EMA is "£30,000" i mean its no were near so im fully entitled to the EMA and stop moaning.

    You obviously don't get it.

EMA was put in place to try to stop kids on higher education getting part-time jobs and decreasing the general national pass rate, therefore the government pay them to not have a job [although some do].

It's not free, it's an incentive, and we're only doing it for the countries stats'.

The child of the parents who earn over 30k are said to be able to provide for themselves, therefore not getting EMA.

It's fair, you obviously don't get it.

So you're saying you'd rather watch someone's grades suffer and them suffer in life as a whole, rather than let the government help them?

    So, so selfish.

Some people who's parents earn a decent wage get stuff, granted not all, I have friends that all get different amounts of ema and for different reasons they could go on everyone's individual circumstances and give it out that way but they're not going to.

Like my Mum doesn't work and not out of choice and it's just me and her, my busfair alone each week is £13.50. Without ema things like that would be so difficult.

I've said it once, i'll say it again - either everyone should get it or no-one should get it. Keeps it fair. Why should less well off people need more of an incentive then more well off people to go to college?
