Mario olympics does not need one

it does for one or two of the games

Check on the back of the game packaging, Like ps2's have 1-2 players at the bottom, the wii has a symbol at the top, If you need a nunchuck, it will have what looks like a wii remote and a nunchuk, but in like a little cartoon blue shape..

see at the top its got what looks like a wii remote and next to it a nunchuck with a lead

Whereas this one, you can use a 'classic' controllter or just a wii remote, no nunchuk needed!
