this girl i know, shes my best friend and my 2nd cousin (a distant relative. my nans sisters grandaughter.) and my mums kinda figured that out. and she spoke to me about it and she says its ok. BUT i dont want to if it counts as incest. because ive started to fall in love with her but i can easily go eww if it is. according to what ive read its not incest if we are distant relatives. we are only best friends at the moment and we havent even gone there yet. the furthest we've gone is hugging goodbye and stuff. thats only because we arent sure what counts.

i love her as a best friend but it will obviously go further if i find out its ok. but if its not ill say its best we stay as just best friends.

I class that as incest, my nans sisters grandaughters are like my cousins to me. I even call them my cousins not 2nd cousins.

That's not incest. Firstly it's too distant to be a problem, secondly it's not illegal, thirdly there's the "problem" of deformed kids which people talk about, which is actually not much of a problem at all. If you had a child with your brother/sister there is the same chance of deformity as any child, if that kid got it on with their brother/sister it's slightly increased risk, but factually there's no significant change in risk until like 7th generation incest or something. I'm not saying to do it, just that it's not a sound argument. To put that into perspective, 2nd cousins getting it on would not be a problem, ever.

It all depends how you see it. I wouldn't really have much problem with a relationship.
If you've never really met them, and don't see them as a 2nd cousin then IMO it isn't really incest.
