So if a member of staff was breaking the law on msn, would you investegate?

The main question there is: How.

Screenshots can be easily faked to make them look real, chat logs can just be written by the user in question and then the member of staff "breaking the law" could just lie, and we wouldn't be able to prove otherwise.

Obviously, we could logon to person X's MSN and see if they talk then, but that would be the only way of doing it, that I can see.

You also have had more fractions reported and reserved that are given by you then i have seen in a short space of time.

All post reports are checked by a forum super moderator and forwarded on if needed to the correct people and remember, every moderator of that forum receives an email so they could aways forward the post report aswell .

a moderator was racist towards me on msn and i reported it, they asked for proof and i gave them it and they said it could have easily been edited! i was rather shocked actually. & it's probably 'cause he was rather popular on the forum, so y'know.

These things can be easily faked and Habbox have to be very careful what they remove people over as things can very easily blow up in their face if they get it wrong, trust me I know .

I think its just a case of using commonsense and judging each individually.
Most people wouldn't fake a screenie or chatlog.
Example:

Staff A has worked for Habbox for 2 years and has one complaint from a person that is well known for not telling perhaps the whole truth.

Simple decision there.

Staff B has worked for Habbox for 6 months and during this time there have been several complaints from different people. The complaints are similar and so are the words used and style used by the 'offending' staff in each chatlog/screenie.


It would be very difficult not to come to the conclusion that indeed there could be a problem in this instance and something needed to be done about it.

If it was known that it would be considered by Habbox Management and not dismissed as not being the business of Habbox then just this fact would probably put people off doing it.

On the topic at hand, if you get this happening to you a lot where people seem to find out, find a SMod you trust, explain the situation, and ask them if you can PM them posts directly.

meh, if you think its happening really badly and you really think somthing needs reporting or whatever, you can Pm me if im online and id be happy to report it for you
Other than thats, theres not alot that can really be done practically due to the nature of the problem. Even if there is a few 1 off bad mods out there, the great majorty are good and have the best intentions "/
