Why does everyone hate MCR?

I liked their first album but then when they released black parade it was completly different. I understand that bands change to apeal to more fans and i think its worked for them, i just know allot of people who have grown to hate them because its such a drastic change.

It's not a drastic change, they've just lost the spirit that they're emo, the outcasts, the band that struggles to go far...

because they used to be an amazing band. then the black parade came and basically they sold out.
i still like them, i just wish they hadn't ruined themselves.

black parade was awful.

their old stuff was better, thats what we're sayin.

I agree, they were good until they released The black parade and got to top of the charts, which made their music overrated & they really got rubbish when all the chavs in my school started playing it and when my sisters started singing it. sell outs.

I entirely disagree, their old stuff is more like "hardcore" bands and 1) I don't like much of that sort of thing anyway and 2) they weren't any good at that :S people just say "I like their old stuff" because it's cool to like a band's old music and then call them sellouts when they actually make a good song. I only like 8 of their songs myself (I know because I downloaded loads and deleted most ) and 4 are off WTTBP and 4 off TCFSR, their most recent albums I think.

Probably because of all the little kids who love copying the lead singer's outrageous clothing.

rofl their fashion style is directly stolen from the Misfits, they don't even deny it.

The simple fact is that it's cool to dislike them and call them sellouts for changing to something they like :S
