What is the point in scripting?

You could say that it's not scripting, it's just BETA-proofing the client. You search for holes in scripts if you're in BETA testing and Habbo has its own crew to do that. The scripters are a good team when you think about it, they should actually be officially employed by Habbo for spotting such errors in release. That's what I think though, others have the stereotype that all scripters have no lives and no careers.

Funnily enough, I know a infamous scripter who has made a name for himself in coding clients for other games, because he's honed his skills in Habbo and is now using them to profit by producing for other games. Does that make him someone with no life, and no career? No, he's actually quite smart.

It doesn't spoil habbo. People find it fun to use SS and CS techniques to have fun and most of the people find this amusing.

Like Pyroka said, the people who script are generally more intelligent then the ones saying "THEY HAVE NO LIFE". With the exception of scriptkiddies.
They think outside the box, and they think in ways many people never would, this is helpful for later in life.

Well, I have nothing against people who use programs, but pressing buttons in the hotel isn't much. The people who actually do the work, are the ones that will succeed.
