i looked at my txt msgs from this person, and ALL of it starts with lol.

Yeah people use it too much but its the kind of way of indicating that they're being friendly to you. Although, it works both ways...
If I really am laughing I just say Rofl, even though I'm not!
I use way too many smily faces though...

I just say it rather than saying nothing. I put it in capitals when I actually find it funny.

Im kinda like that.. if i have nothing better to say i will just say lol so it doesnt look like im ignoring the person. Of course im not really laughing out loud, sometimes a small giggle? Infact.. a small giggle inside my head? lol.. If i find something really funny i use lmao.. or rofl etc
