If your planning on flying over from Ireland and your plane is late, you might see some of the sights in London if you circle. There is also a Harrods in Heathrow, if you don't want to go to it in London. Personally, I think you should go on the London Eye to see the sights, the sightseeing tour, Buckingham Palace and the boat ride on the Thames. That way your seeing most of London without having to get individual trips to places.
If your a cricket fan, you might want to pop down to the Oval to see the last day of play between Surrey and Durham. I wouldn't recommend Maddame Tussauds.
Oh, that's proper strange that then, I could've sworn it was by Chelsea. Thanks for that! Can I ask why you wouldnt recommend Madame Tussauds?

Btw, thanks JackBuddy for that. Will be handy to know whilst I'm there.

Going around looking at waxworks of famous people isn't exactly something I'd called fun.

And they've got alot of cracks in them apparently.

The History Museum can be interesting, but it'll be very very busy now.

The iMax isn't that great, there are rarely any decent films on there. They're usually documentaries and stuff.

    My Trip to London =-]

Ok, i was staying in a house very close to Holland park tube station, which was quite handy. as we only had to walk down the road to go anywhere. on both days, saturday and sunday we bought full day tickets for the tube. zone 1 + 2. which worked out really cheap because we were on and off every now and again :-]

    Saturday
On the first day, we went on the london eye, which was ok but it wasent as good as i thought it would be, when we were up there we got pictures of buckingham palace and the big ben, which is a really cool building.
After we went on the london eye, we got the tube to madame tousads which was better than i ever could have expected. everything in the musiem looks real. i never doubted any of the work in there, its good aswell that you can go up to the models and take pictures with them, there isint barriers around many of the works. and ovcourse my sister got a picture with miley cirus, as to be expected . Then we went into that scary tunnel thing which broke down while we were in it, so we just had to walk on through it with the lights on ;[. then we got to the part with the london cabs, and you went through virtual london. that ride was amazing and better than i could have expected. it apparently cost them £10 million to make the ride.
After all that, we went for a bitta shopping, and went to the Abercrombie shop (good clothes but a bit squised in with all the people inside,) the apple shop (was wicked, and the glass staircase is really cool.) and we went to some other shops aswell. and TGI fridays when we were finished shopping :]]
Then we went back to Holland park to get changed out of our clothes ect. and then my dad suprised us, and brought us to wicked. which was really quite wicked (excuse the cheesy wording) i really enjoyed wicked when i thought i wouldent, the two main actors were brilliant, and it was a good performance all round.

    Sunday

On sunday, we went to the science musiem early in the morning and spent alot of time there viewing a couple of the exibitions. We went to the iMax cinema in there and watched a 3D movie about dinosours. I really liked the interactive stuff at the science musiem, they were the best bit.
After we had finished in the science musiem, we went to Hamleys, which is MASSIVE. but i wasent impressed with the shop, alot of the stuff there was overpriced, and quite kiddish which is too be expected with a toy shop but still...

Then we came back and got ready for our flight out of Gatwick, which was delayed 1hr and a 1/2. which isint too bad considering the radars at dublin airport arnt working at full copasity, and its causing a lotta trouble with times.

So that was my all around journey to london (I think).
I loved london and hope to go back there in the future. sooner rather than later !

    Kevv
