I've hated all the Harry Potter films so far, but this one actually looks interesting.

Well, not really. Hundreds of films get by with on-screen relationships when the actors aren't related to each other. Take Mamma Mia for example - Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfriend have no relation to each other, but in the film they are mother and daughter. They look like each other enough for it to pass. I would rather have someone who can actually act and look similar enough rather than just being cast because their uncle is the older version of them. Innit.

Well it all comes down to a matter of opinion. I thought he was quite good at acting as that kid. Very menacing and it felt like he had anger in him then

Hmmm, well the movie buisiness is certainly a sneaky one. I still think the nepotism factor helped him a lot.

surely its better to use someone related to the actual voldemort so it looks similar to him... unless you didnt know but im guessing you did

Given the makeup given to Voldermort to make him look like so, i would hope a child woudn't bear resemblence.
