How will the HDD be a problem? It comes with a carry case and if the HDD isn't spinning it is unlikely to be a problem anyway.
Besides, you can buy a cheaper option with an 8GB SSD. See here:

Tbh, get better for your money and go for the new advent 4211 10inch netbook, had one for my birthday. 80GB HD, 1GB DDR2 ram, SD card slots, built in webca, bluetooth, ect. For around the same price if not slightly cheaper than the 901, you only have to google around for reviews of the 901 and 4211 to see that the 4211 kicks it's *** all day long. I was also considering having the 901 for my birthday, but then did some looking about and found this, glad I found it to be fair.

Yes, that's the ticket!
If it's not an SSD it will be slower too!
And it's huuuuuge! Plus, it's an Acer. You're just asking for trouble.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
Ordered itComes tomorrow. I also ordered this along with it http://www.ebuyer.com/product/143242

Ooer thanks for that, might get that although iw ould upgrade the Ram to 2GB and if its not solderd to the motherboard, the prosessorEr. I know this sounds odd but, in my Tesco there was a ad for a Dual Core Vista laptop for £250ish. I got one, it's actually really nice. It'd do for school as long as you don't play football with your bag while it's in there (well, not play football but you know what I mean.)

Riight so your confident in fully taking apart a laptop and replacing the processor (with is probably about 99% positive it will be soldered) and then putting it back together?
Some of you should really take a look at the advent 4211 netbook, better value and quality for money..
I posted link above somewhere.
