I don't have a problem with the ranking system being changed but what really confused me is I'm 5 star ruby, I should be 3 star because I'm only like 2k after 5k posts? Am I going to be stuck 5 star ruby for another 2400 or so posts? o.O

I suppose the amount of posts per star could be lowered.... because its pretty odd that it would take soo many just to get another ruby star...

It's actually 5000 posts for Ruby but that's still way too many in my opinion, I really wish they'd switch Ruby and Sapphire round, Ruby is disgusting!

I think get rid of it, if loads of people hate it that much. I don't even like it, and I can't remember if I ever had that!

The idea behind this rating update seems to be "post, because YOU enjoy it," judging by the way the update thread says "This will keep you occupied" etc etc. It was fine before hand, it just needed something to expand it a little, not alot like it seems to of done, especially when it's effected member features like avatars and PMs. Updates are meant to not effect members in that way, they're either meant to keep members where they are or upgrade them a little. Going backwards wasn't what people had in mind

Agreed, then I don't have to wait as long to get rid of it!

And Ruby is worth LESS than Sapphire anyway, so it doesn't really make any sense...
