Does not prove your point though, does it?
y'wha?
Sorry I didn't read your first post. So I wasn't aiming at your thread that got moved. I don't strongly agree with the decision to move your thread but I can see some sense in it. I do however think that forum management should ease up a bit with this.Im not arsed werther its my thread or not, its the fact that it should be a thread for sharing and discussing avatars.
@Knowed, you obviously did not read my post if you think the thread is for spamming.
@Scotteh, you mekd me lol. If you go in the thread people were discussing Avatars and stuff. It takes time mate, they were only released yesterday.
We actually considered that for a while but having threads on subjects out of their sections (if that makes sense) and the lack of post count would deter people from posting in them until the forum became dead. I mean just look at forum games now... Unnecessary comment at the end though. The only way to sort that is to stop rewarding people for having lots of posts, but I think that's unfair and there's no guarantee it would stop anything.
My suggestion to solving this 'Post your' problem is as follows:
Create a new forum which is only for 'Post Your' threads and only 'Post Your' threads belong there, post count would be disabled. Threads would require approval before being made public in that category to prevent a ridiculous over-load of silly Post Your threads such as 'Post your mothers best friends maiden name'. This would clean up all sections, it would not be a disaster if there was a lot of spam as post counts would be disabled.
I have a feeling this won't be incorporated because it just seems such a good idea that HabboxForum wouldn't even consider it, but come on, who's with me?
That is precisely the reason we don't need another thread on it. Your avatar is linked with your gamertag, if people want to display theirs they can post it in that thread with their gamertag and people can see it. Having another sticky just clutters up the top of the forum as well as adds another relatively pointless "Post Your" thread, which would only be used for post count anyway once the buzz about the new dashboard dies down.If it is about post counts, there is no point in moving because once you have posted once, you dont need to post again (as the images update, or unless you have more than one gamertag).
But why do staff care so much about our post countsIf we wanted to get some we couldn't because forum games was closed now we can't even make post your threads, it's sort of pathetic really how we're limited to what we can post on a bulletin board.

MAD is not a member of staffThe Moderation Department has the right ot make moderative decisions I don't really see the issue there.
1) To limit spam
2) You get privileges by your post count now. You can post whatever you want (within reason of course), whether you get post counts for it is the difference.

Not really though as we can't post 'Post your..' threadsLike I made a post your achievements and goals, it's to discuss what you're working for on the Xbox and what achievements you just unlocked but I can see that getting locked but a long 4k posts discussion about WWE video games won't be.
So basically we could make a similar topic but not title it as a post your?

Not necessarily, even if the thread title doesn't contain "Post your.." if a moderator read it and deemed it as a "Post your.." thread, it would be closed. Not really though as we can't post 'Post your..' threadsLike I made a post your achievements and goals, it's to discuss what you're working for on the Xbox and what achievements you just unlocked but I can see that getting locked but a long 4k posts discussion about WWE video games won't be.

But, I understand what you're saying, and I would like to argue that it would be nice to have the Achievements and Goals thread back or a new one to be created and kept, It would work just as well as the sub-forum in the Runescape section?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if we had avatar, gamertag & achievements/goals in one thread. Not necessarily, even if the thread title doesn't contain "Post your.." if a moderator read it and deemed it as a "Post your.." thread, it would be closed.

I wouldn't mind the Avatar & GT in one thread, but we can't show regular updates of our Avatars. I think the first thread post (made by Prof-Alex) should have a dynamic image of everyones avatars after they've posted their gamertag, THAT I really wouldn't mind at all because it automatically updates itself anyway. A little table with a header (GT) and avatar would be a great idea.
Goals & Achievements however, I don't see how that'd work at all. It'd cross over a bit too much tbh. Why are management so worried about postcounts anyway? They have left the "What are you listening to?" thread, when its the WORST OFFENDER of all the 'post your' threads. Most people will just post their Gamertag once, and their Avatar once. The goals/achievements thread won't create a shedload of spam.
Oh and another little thing to point out, they just upgraded the Platinum postcount to 20,000, so the only rank that actually means something, has been achieved by one forum member. ONE. I agree that they should be sorta moderated, but thats why we have forum MODs. It's one big failure in my eyes, the 'post your' system isn't any better, it's just now threads are made by management members. :S
They allow the post what you're listening to thread as apparently some people view it and find new 'artists' that they listen to and grow to like![]()
